The 4th Thursday of every month is our Wild Card Week where we run out of a different location. We switch these weeks up to see new areas of town and try new things. Running with WeRunMPLS is FREE!
Our February Wild Card Week is at 612 Brew, and it looks like they’re playing trivia that night (and WeRunMPLS has proven successful at trivia in the past!) so get ready for some post-run fun!
It’s headlamp season so be sure to bring lights, reflective + other safety gear! Meet us in front of the brewery for 3 miles, all paces welcome, and stick around for drinks and post-run fun.
When you participate in a Fight For Air Climb, you are stepping up to make a positive impact in the lives of those affected by lung disease. Participants raise funds to support the mission of the American Lung Association while training to climb the stairs of a skyscraper. Whether you are climbing alone or with friends and family, as a part of a healthy lifestyle or in honor of all those who are affected by lung disease, you will achieve a sense of personal accomplishment as you reach the top of the building and the height of your fundraising potential. Every step you take moves us forward in our fight for healthy lungs and clean air.
Once a month (in addition to our weekly Thursday night 3-mile runs), we get together on a Saturday morning to log longer miles as a group. Because we have runners with various goals and distance-desires, we offer two distances for our Saturday runs: a 5-6 mile route and a 10-12 mile route. If you need to run a different distance for training or just because you want to, you’re still welcome to join us + log the miles you need.
Things to know:
We split up into pace groups like we normally do on Thursday nights so everyone feels comfortable. No one runs alone at #WeRunMPLS and all paces are welcome.
Wear your #WeRunMPLS gear! We’ll also have shirts and socks for sale if you want to pick anything up.
If people are into it, we go to brunch after the run!
Looking for a cool way to beat the winter blues? Switch off your treadmill and head outside for the fifth annual Plunge 5K! This family-friendly walk/run is a great way to embrace the chilly weather, boost your energy level, and warm your heart by supporting more than 8,200 Special Olympics Minnesota athletes. You’ll even receive a rad shirt and medal for your efforts!
Join us for the 37th Annual IDS CF Climb, which is one of our chapter’s longest running events! This challenging and unique fitness event allows participants to climb over 1,200 steps up the IDS Center in downtown Minneapolis! Whether climbing to improve timing or to simply cross the finish line, this event is a great way to spend the day with co-workers, friends and family while “Adding Tomorrows” for people with cystic fibrosis. At the end of the climb, participants will celebrate at a finish-line party complete with delicious food and great entertainment!
